Andover hosts top state technology official at IT summit

ANDOVER — The town is not alone as it works to reduce its information technology costs.

On Thursday, Andover will host a roundtable discussion on IT consolidation featuring guest speaker Anne Margulies, the state's chief information officer and top technology official.

Representatives from Andover, North Andover, Tewksbury, Wilmington, North Reading and Reading will also be on hand.

Andover Selectmen Chairman Alex Vispoli said the event will offer the public a chance to hear details about ongoing efforts to streamline government IT operations.
